13:29 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP District 2 to assist in the search for a 39 year old male hunter lost in the Hunter Rd area near Harvey. 14:30 hrs YSSR members arrived on scene just as the subject was being escorted from the woods by RCMP members. All members returned to base by 15:30 hrs. A total of 8 YSSR members responded to this incident and provided a total of 16 voluntary (travel) hours towards this operation. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

06:23 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP District 2 to assist in the search for a 35 year old male missing from a hunting camp on the Lower Durham road. 0820 hrs the YSSR CP arrived on scene and started operations. 10:23 hrs the subject returned to the camp and the search was terminated, all resources returned to base by 11:30 hrs. A total of 13 YSSR members responded providing a total of 51 hrs of voluntary search (+ travel) hours towards this operation.

05:30 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was placed on "STANDBY" by RCMP District 2 for a possible search for a
67 year old male with (health conditions) last seen leaving Minto in his vehicle but failed to arrive at his residence. Air searches were conducted by 3 separate helicopters to locate the subject's vehicle. 17:00 hrs YSSR was instructed to stand down as the vehicle had been located and the subject had been recovered by the RCMP dive team. 1 YSSR Search Manager acted as resource to District 2 during this incident providing a total of 6 hours of voluntary support.

04:30 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED to provide multi-team assistance to River Valley GSAR (Saint John) and RCMP District 3. RVGSAR had been searching since 2011-09-13 (22:00hrs) for 56 yr old female missing from her residence in the Garnette Settlement area. 08:46 hrs the YSSR CP arrived on site and was joined with Tri-County GSAR (Moncton) and elements of Greater Fundy GSAR (Sussex) to conduct ground search operations with
support from the Simonds Fire Department, RCMP helicopter and K9 units. 14:36 hrs the subject was discovered during an aerial search with the RCMP helicopter. The subject was transported to hospital for observation. A total of 14 Central Region GSAR (08 YSSR, 06 RVGSAR) provided a total 135 (83 hrs YSSR, 52 hrs RV) hours of voluntary search hours towards this operation.

2100 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was placed on STANDBY by RCMP District 2 Oromocto who were investigating a complaint of missing 45 year old male from a residence in Burt's Corners. At 2110 hrs team members were alerted.2130 hrs subject returned home and all team members were advised to stand down.

14:15 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP District 2 Oromocto to conduct a search for two adult males, two children and the family dog that had become lost in the woods while hunting near Beaverdam. The YSSR Command Post arrived on scene at 15:15 hrs, searching commenced shortly thereafter. 16:20 subjects were located in good condition. 17:35 hrs search stood down and demobilization commenced.18:00 hrs Command Post returned to base. 26 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members along with 2 (visiting) Halifax Regional Search & Rescue, 2 (visiting) Carleton Ground Search & Rescue as well as 3 (visiting) members of the H.E.L.P. Group Management responded contributing a total of 133 voluntary hours towards this operation.

0530 hrs York Sunbury Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP District 2 Oromocto to conduct a shoreline search along Grand Lake in the Jemseg area for two adult males missing after their canoe capsized at 0130 hrs. The YSSR Command Post arrived on scene at 0655 hrs, shore searching commenced shortly thereafter. 10:28 hrs, subjects were spotted by a Canadian Forces Comorant CH0149 Search and Rescue Helicopter and recovered by Oromocto, Jemseg and RCMP marine units. Demobilization commenced, members and Command Post returned to base by 12:05 hrs. 19 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members responded contributing a total of 133 voluntary hours.

22:30 hrs York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP District 2 Oromocto to search for a Male ATV rider who had called friends by cell phone and stated he was both injured and lost. The YSSR Command Post arrived on scene at 23:45 hrs. 02:47 hrs TriCounty Ground Search & Rescue (Moncton) members were ACTIVATED to provide mutual aid at first light.. 0330hrs (2007-07-22) the subject was located in good condition and was extracted. Demobilization commenced, members and Command Post returned to base at 0530 hrs. 21 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members responded, contributing 147 hours, 20 members of Tri County Ground Search & Rescue contributed an additional 23 hrs for a total of 170 hours donated by ground search and rescue volunteers.

10:56 hrs York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED for a search in Greenwood Trailer Park area. While team members were in route to the scene the male subject was discovered by residents.

16:30 hrs: while ACTIVATED on an evidence search in the Geary area by RCMP District 2, York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was also ACTIVATED (again)by RCMP District #2 to search for a missing 9 year old male in Oromocto. Evidence search operations were suspended and as the team prepared leave for Oromocto the missing 9 year old returned home 17:30 hrs. Evidence search operations resumed shortly thereafter.

0930 hrs, York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ALERTED by Tri County Ground Search & Rescue which been activated for a search in the Memramcook area. The subject was located shortly thereafter.

On September 22, York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED to assist RCMP District #10 with a multi GSAR team, multi organizational search efforts to locate a missing single engine aircraft in the Plaster Rock area. The aircraft was located by two local men at 17:30 Friday. TriCounty, York Sunbury and Tobique personnel assisted the RCMP and the Coroner’s office in removing the body of the pilot. Members of North West Search and Rescue also participated in the operation
A total of 24 York Sunbury Search & Rescue members responded contributing 264 voluntary hours.

0300 hrs York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED to provide multi-team assistance by Tri Country Ground Search and Rescue Team (Moncton, NB). Tri-County GSAR had been searching since 1800 hrs (2006-06-21) for a missing male in the Intervale, NB area that had walked away from his residence.
07:30 - York Sunbury members were "stood down" as the missing male had been located.
A Total of 5 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members had gathered vehicles and equipment when the subject was located and the request for assistance cancelled.

2006-05-11
22:30 hrs York Sunbury Search Ground Search & Rescue team was ACTIVATED by RCMP District #2 to search for 2 missing men in the Fredericton Junction, NB area. The two men had failed to return home after what was to be a short walk around 1800 hrs. One of the men was known to be a diabetic. Family and friends search the wooded area and trails around the place last seen until contacting RCMP around 22:00 hrs.
23:30 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue setup a command post and commenced searching operations that lasted until 0830 hrs 2006-05-12 when the men walked out of the woods, wet, cold but unharmed. The two men had become disorientated in the dark on the maze of trails in the area.
A total of 20 YSSR members responded to this emergency and contributed 180 hrs of volunteer support.

23:45 hrs York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP McAdam Post for assistance to locate 3 ATV riders in the Davidson Lake, NB area. The riders had called family stating did not know their location and their cell phone battery was almost depleted. YSSR Search Managers responded on site. With planning and support from YSSR, RCMP members were about to conduct a search by ATV when the riders again made contact to state they were ok, had a fire going and would wait until daylight to return home.
07:00 hrs the 3 ATV riders returned home safely, remainder of YSSR team taken of "STANDBY" status.
A total of 7 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members provided 35 hrs of volunteer services (planning/comms support).

2006-05-06
York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue team was ACTIVATED by Fredericton City Police to assist in the search and recovery of a 21 year old male presumed to have jumped off the Westmorland Street Bridge just after 4AM April 23. His vehicle was found idling on the bridge by F.C.P.
York Sunbury Ground Search conducted an extensive search of all 54 kms of shorelines (both sides of the river including two islands) between the Westmorland Street Bridge in Fredericton downstream to the Burton Bridge. Searching was conducted simultaneously by foot (on the shore side) and with various volunteer vessels (on the water side). The search proved negative on this day. On the evening of May 19, 2006 a resident in the Bourqe Lane area of Lincoln sighted the remains and alerted emergency personnel.
A total of 29 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members provided a total 268 volunteer hours towards the search effort.

14:45 hrs - York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue team was ACTIVATED by RCMP District #2 to search for a 3 year old male missing from his home in Penniac, NB. Pagers were set off and members left their places of work. Twenty nine members responded, some had arrived at the search scene, others were still in transit when the child located by an area resident assisting in the search.
A total of 29 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members provided 58 volunteer hours of response time..

21:30 hrs York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue was ACTIVATED by RCMP District #2 to assist in the search for a 65 year old woman in Oromocto, NB. Family reported her overdue from her daily walk at 15:15 hrs.YSSR pagers activated with 23 members on scene when the subject was located by the DNR dog and handler.
A total of 23 York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue members provided 46 volunteers hours of response time.
