Officials in
New Brunswick looking for two people reported missing in
the province found one of them Thursday, a five-year-old
boy in Beaver Dam.
The boy, Brandon Dunfield, was
found just before 11 a.m., about 15 hours after he had
last been seen near his home near Beaver Dam, south of
Fredericton.
The boy was found in a wooded area
about 500 metres from his home, clutching his teddy
bear. Police said he did not show signs of
injury.
Hundreds of volunteers and a helicopter
were involved in the search.
Meanwhile, the
search for a missing Grand Falls woman was expanded
Thursday to include a couple of new
locations.
But officials said there was still no
sign of Irene Godreau, 78, who disappeared Saturday
after apparently walking away from the local
special-care home she lived in.
Police said
ground search-and-rescue members have been combing the
area near the home, which includes a steep
gully
