AIRCRAFT LOCATION AND PILOT RECOVERY

On September 22, Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue participated in search efforts to locate a missing single engine aircraft in the Plaster Rock area. The aircraft was located by two local individuals at approximately 1730 Friday afternoon. Tri-County, York Sunbury and Tobique personnel assisted the RCMP and the Coroner's office in removing the body of the pilot. Members of North West Search and Rescue also participated in the operation.

A total of 21 Tri-County members responded contributing 325 volunteer hours.
A total of 24 YSSR members responded contributing 264 volunteer hours.
